You ask yourself, “What was I thinking?” but deep down you really love what you do and want to do it better.

Your host, Joan Shumaker, has been running her own small business since 1989 and daily provides consulting services for small businesses in a wide variety of industries.

Joan Shumaker is passionate about small business! She has been a small business owner for nearly 25 years, serving the computer software training, support, and consulting needs to hundreds of small businesses in Atlanta and across the country.

Prior to starting her company, Computer Training Resources Inc. in 1989, Joan began working with a few small businesses in the evening and weekends while she worked a full-time job in the Computer Center at Georgia State University. Through these experiences, she decided to start her own computer software training business that would target small businesses.

About 12 years ago, Joan started providing QuickBooks consulting services, which includes setting up, reviewing, cleaning up QuickBooks company files, integrating appropriate software solutions with QuickBooks, and connecting clients with their technology and business partners.

Joan holds a B.S. in Business Education from Bob Jones University and a M.Ed. in Adult Education Program Management with a concentration in Business Information Systems from Georgia State University. She is a Microsoft Office Specialist Master Instructor, an Advanced Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and a Sleeter Group Certified QuickBooks Consultant.
