Carmen Caserta

Carmen Caserta is a singer-songwriter who traded in law school to pursue her dream of being in the music industry. Carmen began singing in her school chorus and church choir at the age of six and quickly discovered her affinity for music. Music reached Carmen in a way no other force ever had. But it wasn’t until she was eighteen that the words she’d been writing began to channel themselves in song. At nineteen, Carmen packed her passion for music and an upright piano on loan from her cousin and moved from her native Los Angeles to San Diego, determined to find the songs inside her. The piano became her best friend and she taught herself how to play! Writing her life down on paper, turning it into music, and sharing it with you are vital to Carmen’s life. Co-produced with renowned singer/songwriter/producer Astra Kelly, Carmen’s entirely self-written debut album “The Hive” is a courageous emotional disrobing revealed through intensely honest lyrics both deeply personal and universally relatable. Hayley Reardon

When Hayley Reardon first picked up a guitar in July 2008, this young songstress uncovered both a deep passion and an obvious natural talent, unleashing a flood of beautifully constructed, delicately phrased songs. At 12 years old, Boston's WUMB was first to publicly recognize her emerging talent as a winner at the 2009 Boston Folk festival Songwriting Contest. In the ensuing year this 13 year old has achieved additional recognition in numerous competitions including the YouTube/What's Your Issue 2010 Music Video Competition, The North Atlantic Arts Alliance 7th Annual Songwriting Contest, and the 2010 Indiegrrl International Songwriting Competition. She has released two EPs to date, her debut "Beautiful Simplicity" in late 2009, and her latest, "Hope You're Smiling" released in October 2010. View Guest page

Last summer he was in the hit movie, “Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer.” He also has a reoccurring role as Kyle Abbott on the daytime drama, “The Young and the Restless.” He has acted in three feature films, 10 television shows, 17 commercials, and was the lead in three on stage plays. Sara Vance

Helping people live healthier lives is Sara’s passion. Owner of Rebalance Life and a regular contributor on local San Diego area television stations, Sara Vance has over 18 years experience in the health & fitness industry. But Sara knows first hand that making healthy choices is not always easy. As a child, Sara was a picky eater and her diet consisted of too many sweetened & processed foods, and not enough fresh whole vegetables and fruits. This led to digestion problems, weight gain, and teasing. Sara helps people reach their optimum health - offering classes, consultations, speaking/media, and articles. Sara works with adults, but takes a special interest in kids’ health, working with organizations like the Girl Scouts and rolling out her school assembly program in 2011. A speaker at the first TEDx Youth conference in San Diego, Sara was also recognized as a Lunchbox Hero by The Lunchbox Organization in Boulder, CO for her work educating kids about nutrition. Making our dreams come true is something we all hope will happen. This week on Kathryn the Grape’s Magical Hour you will be inspired by 17-year old Cassidy Diane who is living her dream everyday! Cassidy is a singer, musician and actor. She has been performing professionally since the tender age of 5 when she booked her first commercial for "Universal Healthcare." By age 6 she was singing and acting on stage at San Diego’s historical Starlight Bowl in a production of "Annie." Cassidy loves the stage and has performed in over 50 musical productions, films, television commercials and print ads. She was even the Fashion Fever Barbie model for Mattel Inc. at age 12! Cassidy was also in a commercial for "Ross Stores" where she was the lead singer of a garage band for a back to school advertisement that aired nationally for four years. Cassidy just released her first original song called, Beautiful Design.

Kathryn the Grape is an engaging young girl who loves to wear purple! She enjoys playing softball, singing her own songs, and dancing to upbeat music. Kathryn the Grape really likes to have fun and enjoys spending time with her best friend Maggie the magical butterfly, who encourages Kathryn the Grape to be fearless and try new things, while learning how to say what she needs to say, and trust her intuition. Kathryn the Grape especially likes making new friends; including her good friends Audrey and Zara, who are hosting her radio show, Kathryn the Grape’s Magical Hour.

As the host of Kathryn the Grape’s Magical Hour, Audrey is excited to help people learn how to meditate, do yoga, make healthy choices, learn how to treat the environment, and share advice about everyday life. Audrey is ten years old and is in the fifth grade. She lives in San Diego, California with her parents and her younger sister and brother. Audrey loves to read, write, swim, travel, and perform in theatre.

About Zara:
As the co-host of Kathryn the Grape’s Magical Hour, Zara is excited to have the opportunity to be on the radio every week with her best friend, Audrey. Zara was born in Tokyo, Japan and moved to San Diego, California when she was two years old. She is ten years old and in the fifth grade. She enjoys spending time with her parents and younger brother. Zara likes to write her own songs, play the guitar, and practice Karate.
